Police Department’s volunteer program offers volunteers an opportunity
to be involved with nearly every aspect of the Department. Volunteers
can choose to be involved in some of the more traditional functions such
as:

Volunteers
In Policing (VIP) Opportunities
Our enhanced Volunteers In Policing program allows
volunteers to utilize a marked volunteer vehicle and wear the Department’s
VIP uniform, including a badge, flashlight, and police radio. Volunteers
will participate in an 10-week comprehensive training program and be required
to attend the Department’s 12-week Community
Academy. Just some of the duties may include:

Making a Difference in Our Community
To date our VIP Program has graduated four classes. We now have over 44 VIP's patrolling the streets. Provided below is a snapshot of VIP accomplishments and what an impact they are having in our Community.
